Mediation is a useful instrument to avoid that discussions degenerate, and to reach a solution that is acceptable to all parties involved. Where possible (and desirable), we will assist you with finding an amicable solution to your disputes without having to pass through the courts.

Sometimes, a court procedure can not be avoided. If such is the case, we do whatever is necessary to defend and protect your rights through litigation, always respecting our deontological rules. We have over 20 years of experience in defending our clients before Belgian and international courts.

We also have a solid experience with arbitration proceedings, both as a lawyer of one of the parties and as an appointed arbitrator. in 2016, Bart Van Besien was officially recognised as an arbitrator (“neutral”) in intellectual property disputes by the National Arbitration Forum in the USA.
